Magnets rule!

Today not only the latest shipment of neodyme-supermagnets arrived at my door ...

... Treehugger has a report on a new concept by Columbia and Oregon State University of producing energy with magnets as a crucial part in it -
Talking about wave energy buoys off the coast of Oregon with a permanent neodymium-iron-born magnet which is forced back and through an electric coil by the modulation of waves.

Synchronicity at work: playing with my new magnets I invented a magentic attachment-contraption (would need a precicion mechanic to implement) and told myself a new generation of clever magnetics applications was coming our way.
